Ms. Kay Ann Aubrey
was born on January 22, 1944 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Rev. Gail and Verna Wilkins. Kay was the oldest of eleven children.
She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School, then met and married Othis Aubrey, Jr. and from this union borne eight children.
Later, Kay relocated to Lansing, Michigan here she furthered her education at Davenport University and began her employment at the State of Michigan until she retired in 2010.
On April 12th in her home surrounded by her loving children, Kay Aubrey went home to be with our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by: grandsons, Evan and Teddy; her parents, Rev. Gail and Verna; brothers, Hiawatha and David; sister, Althea.
Kay is survived by: her children, Othis R. Aubrey, Troy (Loretta) Aubrey, Amber (Donnie) Dillard, Douglas Aubrey, Lanese Aubrey, Yolanda Aubrey, Nikki (Lionel) Hall and Jamie Aubrey; 72 grand and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gail Wilkins, Gwendolyn Brown, Lance (Doris) Wilkins, Verna Lou Hicks, Garland Wilkins, Mathew (Brenda) Wilkins and Janice Wilkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ms. Kay Ann Aubrey will lie in repose Friday, April 15th, 3-6pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph St, Lansing, MI. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 11am at Mind, Body Soul Ministries, 1974 Cedar St, Holt, MI. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral.
