Kathryn Marie Williams was the ninth of fourteen children, born December 20, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts to Mendell
Holmes
and William B. Holmes. Kathryn moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1975 where she attended Amos P. Godby High School. She met Donald Fleming Williams and the couple became high school sweethearts. Kathryn came to the Lord during her youth and remained committed to her faith during her life. The couple united in marriage on July 2, 1977. Shortly after their marriage Donald began a 21 ½ year career serving in the United States Marine Corps during which time they traveled the U.S. and the world. To this union four children were born: Ebonia Marie Williams, Teacher in the Lansing School District, Donald Fleming Williams Junior, United States Army, Sgt. First Class retired after 25 years of service, JR and the twins live in El Paso Texas, Marc Donald Williams, Active Duty, U.S. Army Reserves, Staff Sgt. With 18 year of services is stationed in Grand Rapids, MI, Derrick Fleming Williams is a manager at Culver's Restaurant, Kathryn had four wonderful grandchildren: Corinne Williams – Hough, Kaleigh Jade Williams, Kassondra Jade Williams and Ashton Michael Williams.
Kathryn had a passion for caring for children, helping the needy and reading the Bible. She was a member of Mind, Body, and Soul Outreach Ministries. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian who loved and served the Lord, who remained a dedicated prayer warrior faithfully praying for family, church members and friends. Katheryn who was in the advanced Bible Study of the church has been posthumously elevated to the position of Evangelist of the ministry. Kathryn departed from her earthly home early in the morning on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. While she is gone, she will always remain in our memories.
Katheryn is survived by: her siblings, Alisa Coloson, Williams Holmes, Lucille Brunson, April Donaldson, Arnell Bodden, John Robinson, Mayfield Holiday, Ulysses Holiday and Janice Perryman. She was preceded in death by: her sisters, Yvonne Holiday and Willie Holiday; mother, Mendell Holmes; and father, William B. Holmes.
