Kathleen Kay Hawkins' Obituary
Kathleen Kay Hawkins went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. She was born on March 4, 1939 in Benton Harbor Michigan. The daughter of Kathryn Ruth Howard and Herman Sidney Howard. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and enjoyed working at Michigan School for The Blind.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Charles Eugene Hawkins. Two daughters Vestina Rochelle Hawkins (Donna Sink) and Carmalita Kay Ayers. Grandchildren: Frank Ayers, Christopher Ayers, Jessen Ayers, Charles Hawkins and Kathleen Hawkins Olsen. Eleven great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Kathleen enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending active time with her grandchildren.
Kathleen leaves to cherish her memories, brothers Cleophas (Veda) Howard, Charles (Frankie) Howard and sister Jacqueline (Carlos) Wood.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters Vestina R. Fulcher and Algamae L. Wilson.
Social distancing FAMILY ONLY memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 1:00. Eliezer Temple Church Lansing, MI
