Mrs. Juanita Coats Nathan was called home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She grew up in Lansing and graduated from J.W. Sexton High School. Juanita served as, an Executive Assistant to the President and Alumni Association Offices of Michigan State University for 26 years. Juanita and her husband relocated from Lansing in 1995, and she always enjoyed returning home. She leaves to mourn her husband, Dr. Vincent Nathan; her son, Herbert Orlando Grinage; daughters, Jennifer Creagh her niece she raised and Monica (Trey) Grinage-Prince; her grandchildren, Brandon, Marcus, Chloe and Massi; her sisters, Minnie (Sim) Burton, Eula (Mckinley) Hester, Mary Lemon; brother, Eddie Coats, Jr.; and a host of family and friends.

Mrs. Juanita Nathan will lie in repose on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 3-6 P.M. at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West Saint Joseph Street, Lansing, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 10 A.M. at Friendship House of Prayer Baptist Church, 4301 South Waverly Road, Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
