Juan Abrigo Sanchez was born on March 30th, 1941 in Sinton, Texas. He was raised in Beeville, Texas. His family eventually moved to Lansing, Michigan where he met the love of his life, Sandra Christy. They married on September 7, 1961. They spent their lives raising their children and enjoying their grandchildren together until her death in 2012. He was a registered mechanic and worked for various companies throughout the Lansing area until his retirement. Juan enjoyed old western movies, Harley Davidson's, and Tiger baseball. More than anything, Juan loved being with his family. Juan passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2023, in Lansing after a short battle with cancer.

Juan is survived by: his children, Anna (John) Reed of Lansing, Juan Jr. (Joy Arnold) Sanchez of Lansing, Jose (Tammy) Sanchez of Oklahoma City, Constancia Sanchez of Lansing, Leticia Sanchez of Lansing, and Juan Sanchez III of Lansing; his grandsons, Juaquin (Tara) Darnell, Cody Wakefield, Carlos Gutierrez Jr, Luis Gutierrez, Adam Moss, Orlando Jay, Michael Sanchez, and Jose Sanchez Jr. all of whom were his pride and joy; his granddaughter, Cristina Sanchez who was the apple of his eye; great-grandchildren, Mercedes and Noah Wakefield; brother, Oscar; sisters, Adelia and Petra; and many nephews, nieces and close friends.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Sandra; their infant daughter, Sue Lynn; parents, Santiago and Asencion; brother, Santiago Jr; and his grandparents.
