Josh DuWayne Beasley was born February 22, 1969 in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Everett High School and attended Lansing Community College. He was employed at Wolverine Waters Systems. DuWayne transitioned from this life to eternal rest at the young age of 51.

DuWayne attended Robinson Memorial Church of God in Christ and was a faithful drummer. He played football in High School and enjoyed playing basketball on the side. DuWayne loved music, with his favorite genre of music being rap. He enjoyed it so much he even made his own rap CD. He loved to dance and listen to music and when his favorite song came on, he would end a conversation or stop whatever he was doing and begin to dance. Dear to DuWayne's heart were his daughters Tanoi and Shantay.

DuWayne was preceded in death by his beloved parents Josh and Johnnie Mae (Jackson) Beasley.

DuWayne was truly loved and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who survive him, including: his daughters, Gaynelle Tanoi Miller and Shantay Smith; grandson, Za'Cory; sister, Pamela Joyce Hill; nephews, Michael Beasley and Vernon Danielle Hill II; nieces, Gabrielle and Christian Hill; uncles, Roosevelt (Pauline) and Mason Beasley, Ellihue (Alma), Robert (Shelley), Wilbert (Karen), James, Jerome (Cindy) Jackson; aunts, Luvenia Echols, Ella Louise Beasley, Annie B. Clinton, Queen Esther (Ronald) Perteet, Geneva (Rick) Hawthorne, and Dolores (Ricky) Smith; and a host of cousins and friends.
