Jorge Luis Santibanez, 52, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on February 1, 2023 after complications of the heart.

Jorge was born on December 26, 1970 to Guadalupe Santibanez and Maria Inez Santibanez in Brownsville, Texas. After Jorge attended Everett High School, he continuously worked with his father through the family landscaping business as well as years of contractual projects with construction companies across the United States.

Jorge was predeceased by: his eldest brother, Narciso Santibanez.

He is survived by: his father, Guadalupe Santibanez; mother, Maria Inez Santibanez; his three children, Angel (Jeffery) Schaub, Mercedes Santibanaz, and Lucas Santibanez; grandson, Mason Jean (Mercedes Santibanez); brothers, Juan Santibanez, Adalberto (Elizabeth Isa) Santibanez; sisters, Leticia Santibanez and Yolanda Santibanez. Jorge loved all of his nieces and nephews, Jessica Santibanez, JJ Santibanez, Christopher Santibanez, Ana Alica Santibanez, Carlos Santibanez, Dominique Santibanez, Adriana Steelman, Eduardo Chora, Victoria Sanchez, Monica Medina, Christopher Torres and Martin Torres.

Jorge was loved by his aunts, uncles, and cousins from across the U.S. and Mexico.

Jorge's daughters would like their father to be remembered for his love of cooking, his love of his culture and for being the one everyone counted on to get things done.
