Johnnie Albert Kline was born to the late Mack Ivory and late Fredonia Thomas (Kline) on November 27, 1950 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He is the only child joined from this accord, but precedes two sisters Deborah Ivory and Gloria Ivory.

Johnnie attended primary school in Vicksburg, MS, and as a young teen he and his mother relocated to Lansing, Michigan where he attended West Junior Middle School and earned a high school diploma from J.W. Sexton High School. In December of 1970, Johnnie worked as an Assembly Line Worker at Fisher Body Plant of General Motors where his love for collecting classic automobiles began.

In the early 80's Johnnie and Elois Kline (Sims) were united in Holy Matrimony and to this union Kenneth Sims and Katherine Kline evolved.

His favorite possessions were his cars: his bold Buick's, stylish Cadillac's, sporty Chevrolet's, top notch Cutlass', debonaire Bonneville and flashy Lincoln's. To add to the repertoire, he owned a Harley Davidson motorcycle. What a classy and expensive hobby to retain that caught the attention of Capital City!

At the age of 71 Johnnie departed this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by: his step father, William Thomas; grandmother, Lucy Kline (Wesley); grandfather, Joe Kline; uncle, Charlie Kline; aunts, Sarah Moore and Mary Kline; and eleven uncles; and one aunt (Ivory).

Precious memories are to be cherished by: three children, Alfrida Johnson, Kenneth Sims, Katherine Kline; step son, Kevin Sims (Chiara); and a special son, Ronnie Johnson; three grandchildren, Darion Sims, Jada Sims, and Essence Johnson. Others remaining and devoted to his memory may God comfort you in this time of grief.
