Joanne Donawa Jo born December 22, 1958, in Trinidad, West Indies. She attended Lansing Public Schools. Joanne was a friendly, kind, and giving person. She enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery, dancing, sewing, eating sweets, and drinking Faygo soda. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fitzroy and Eudora Donawa and step-mother, Clare Donawa. Joanne went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2012. She leaves to cherish many fond memories: her daughter, Natalie Ezabele of Lansing; sons, Anthony Tony Corwin and Christopher (Andrea) Donawa, both of Lansing; grandsons, Christopher, Jr. and Ceandre Donawa, both of Lansing; four sisters; Cynthia Smith and Heidi Donawa, both of Lansing, Hazel Sandy of New York, and Bernice Abraham of Trinidad; brothers; Arnold Donawa of Trinidad, Peter (Caroline) Donawa of New York and Michael (Linda) Donawa of Lansing; special niece, Emerlisa Hart; step-mother, Doris Donawa; step-sisters, Malinda Watts and TiaJuana, both of Lansing, and Micale Vann of Australia; step-brothers, Elbert and Robert Watts, both of Lansing; and special friends, Sue, Stephanie, Connie, Angela, Yasak Ezabele and the Watts family.
