Jimmie Lee Springs, age 103, of Lansing, MI, departed this life on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Holt Senior Care. The angels came down and quietly carried her soul to an eternal place of rest to rejoin her heavenly family and gain her wings.

Born on February 19, 1918, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Ida Garth. Moving around quite a bit to provide a better life for her four children she eventually settled down in Lansing Michigan in 1960. She worked as a Janitor at Michigan State University until she retired in the late 1970s. Jimmie was a hardworking, dedicated woman who loved spending time with family, cooking, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She volunteered as a cook in the church kitchen and as a senior companion with the Senior Companion program. She was a loving and caring person, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her."

She was precede in death by: her parents; five siblings; son, Gregory Springs; and grandson, Gregory Lee Springs. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children; Emma Stevenson, Yvonne Margie Hall, and Lucretia Stevenson; grandchildren, Bobby Stevenson, Larry Stevenson, Earnest Hines, Jr., Lisa Springs, Erika Springs, Francis Walker, and Jonathan Hall; great grandchildren, Rashad Stevenson, Rayna Stevenson, Rapheal Stevenson, Brianna Springs, Alexis Glass, Zah'Nay Bosby, Kylah Reich, Gabrielle Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
