The Angels of the Lord called Jessie Lee Richardson, age 80, home on January 10, 2014. She had been a resident of Lansing since 1945 and was a graduate of Sexton High School and the Charles Harrison Mason Bible College. Mrs. Richardson retired from Michigan National Bank. She was a faithful member of Robinson Memorial Church of God In Christ for many years. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Elder Jesse B Greene, Mrs. Mertis Greene Strong, and stepmother, Mrs. Margrett Greene; infant son, Penison Burton, Jr., and brother, John Henry Buchannan. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Frederick Richardson; children, Margrett Diane (Yusut) Sulayman, Penison Adolph Burton, Michael Angelo (Darnell) Burton, LeAyne (James) Nash, Lisa (Lamont) Williams; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of family and dear friends. Friends may visit Mrs. Richardson Tuesday, January 14, 12 " 7pm at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 12pm, at Tabernacle of David Worship Center, 2645 W. Holmes Road. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral.
