Jeri Elaine
Ruthruff
July 11, 1952 – April 23, 2026
Today we gather with heavy hearts to remember and honor someone who meant so much to us. Losing her feels like losing a part of ourselves. A light that once made our days brighter.
Jeri Elaine Ruthruff was born on July 11, 1952. Jeri was preceded in death by: her mother, Jacquelin Tissue (Ruthruff); father, Keith Ruthruff; and brother, David Ruthruff. Jeri is survived by: her sister, Chari Ruthruff Bell; brother, Robert (Debbra) Ruthruff; nephews, Tim and Michael Ruthruff, Jake Bell; daughter, Amber Ruthruff; and two grandchildren, Savannah and Kaden Bourgeois-Kmaur.
Jeri served her country in the Marines for two years. After serving her country Jeri began working for the State of Michigan in the Department of Treasury - Individual Income Tax division, until she retired in August, 2007.
She was the heart of our family. She had her way of making everyone feel at home, whether it was through her conversations, her laughter, or her endless patience. She was our guide, our protector, but she also didn't hold back when you needed to be corrected. Sarcasm was her second language.
She wasn't just my mother; she was my best friend and my greatest teacher. Though she is no longer with us, her memories will live on in every laugh we shared and every moment she shared with us.
Let us not only mourn her passing but also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. Her love will remain in our hearts forever, guiding us even in her absence.
Jeri is now in God's hands and will watch us from above. May you rest in peace. You will always be remembered, deeply loved and never forgotten.
