Jequiloy Chavez
Muhammad
April 2, 1987 – October 27, 2025
Jequiloy Chavez Muhammad, age 38, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandchild.
Jequiloy passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, 2025. All who knew Jequiloy loved him for his infectious and jolly laugh, his silly sense of humor, and his love of family; especially for his only niece, Serena, whom he adored.
Jequiloy was a kind and loving individual who never met a stranger. An avid walker, Jequiloy would run into folks on the street that were homeless, hungry, and/or needed someone to talk to where he gave a listening ear, a meal, or sometimes even a place to stay for the night. Jequiloy was a cook at many area restaurants throughout his adult life, and loved to cook for his family and friends; it was truly his passion.
Jequiloy was proceeded in death by: his grandfather whom he loved with all his heart, Jose Chavez; his aunts, Deborah "Debbie" Bogle and Elizabeth "Betsy" Bogle Warfield.
Jequiloy is survived by: his mother, Michelle (Chavez) Muhammad; sister, Adanma Muhammad; niece, Serena Chaffee; grandparents, Bonnie "BJ" Eddy and Linda Chavez; aunts, Evette Chavez, Mirandy Chavez, Becky Bogle, Circe (Joaquin) Rodriguez; cousins, Joshua and Elijah Harper, Noah Chavez, Clinton, Jon, and Lizzy Warfield, Nasadia and Joaquin Rodriguez, and Morgan (Mitch) Chavez VanBemden.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ele's Place in honor of Jequiloy Chavez Muhammad.
