Obituary

Jennie B. Jermany Starks was born July 22, 1925 to Ike and A.T. Anderson Jermany in Woodson, Arkansas.  She was the youngest of 8 children.  She accepted Christ at an early age at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Sweethome, Arkansas.

Jennie moved to Lansing in 1953 where she united with Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Joel L. King.  She united in holy matrimony with Q.C. Starks in 1954.  The marriage ended in 1956.

Mrs. Starks was a retiree of General Motors Fisher Body Division.  She was a member of Capital City Temple #308 I.B.P.O.E. of W. (Elks), where she was the oldest member.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Arzell Johnson, four sisters: Mary Jermany Martin, Pearl Jermany, Hattie Jermany and Rosie L. Bowie, three brothers: Rece, Zack and Luther Jermany.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Bethany Johnson, 8 great grandchildren, one great-great grand child and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family of Jennie B. Starks wishes to acknowledge with deepest appreciation the help and assistance extended to her and for the outpouring of sympathy rendered during the difficult time.
