Jean-Pierre Davis' story begins October 10th 1970, the only child to Clarence and Betty Davis in Chicago, Illinois.
Pierre graduated from Holt High School in 1989. Pierre was also a faithful member of St. Casimir Catholic Church.
Lansing, Michigan is where he would meet and marry the love of his life, DeKeea Marlane Quinney, with whom he would have two exceptional children, Ms. Kalani Rose Davis and Mr. Kiyan Pierre Davis.
It was very evident that Pierre loved to travel. He was always connected to travel and adventure. He was employed with the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), making sure the city's citizens safely arrived at their destinations around the city. Additionally, as "Baba P", he happily drove students from coast to coast (everywhere but Egypt) with Sankofa Shule, and was the Teacher's Aide and Sous Chef (Grit King!) to the Preschool Room.
Loved ones that cleared a path for Pierre include: his father, Clarence Davis; grandparents, Emogene and John Davis, James Struts, and Mildred Davis; aunts, Antoinette and Charlene Davis; and godfather, Don Murrin.
Pierre transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday, April 8th, 2018, the Day of Divine Mercy.
Loved ones that will miss Pierre until they meet again include: his wife, DeKeea; daughter, Kalani Rose; son, Kiyan Pierre; his mother, Betty; parents-in-love, Derrick and Desiree Quinney; little brothers, Sneed Deaderick and Dominick Quinney; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pierre, #BabyDaddy, Daddy, Big P, Big Brother, Baba P will be greatly missed.
Mr. Davis will lie in repose Monday, April 16, 5-7pm, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 815 Sparrow Ave., Lansing, MI 48910.
