Jack Lee Watson, age 79, of Lansing, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 25th, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing with his family by his side.

Jack was born on March 14, 1939 to Roger Lee and Esther Madelene (Shifkey) Watson in Albion, MI.  He graduated from Albion Senior High School in 1957 and spent time in the Michigan Army National Guard.

Over the next 40 years Jack was a business partner with Plassman and Co. in Albion and was involved in operating Dry Cleaning Franchises mainly in the Lansing, MI area.

Jack enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.  In his later years he developed an affinity and love for turkey hunting which he shared with his grandsons.  In his prime, his game room at his residence was filled with full mount grizzly and brown bears, caribou, elk, mule deer, mountain lions, and of course-turkeys!  He has finally transitioned to the "Happy Hunting Ground in the Sky" that he once spoke of when we were younger.  As a phrase spoken in a famous local Michigan song, "I hope he can still be found in the spirit of the woods,  cause in the wind he's still alive."

A lot of fond memories were also enjoyed at the family cabin on Chippewa Lake in Mecosta County and were captured by him with his Super 8mm camera.

Jack is survived by his wife, Holly Watson.  He is also survived by his daughter Cynthia Watson, step- daughter Erin Andrews, sons Michael and Steven Watson, three granddaughters, Kayla, Miranda and Danielle, four grandsons, Chase, Tyler, Spencer and Zachary, plus two great grandsons, Austin and Kaden and his sister, Nancy Blodgett.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first born son-Jack Lee Watson II.   Jack has been cremated through Riley Funeral Home in Lansing and no services were requested.
