Henry A. Lock, known by his loving family as "Dada" was born in Gurdon, Arkansas on October 4, 1934 to Luther Lock and Blanche Hudson. He was the oldest of four children.

Henry was married at the age of 17 to Maggie A. Lock for 72 years. Shortly after, Henry A. Lock relocated to Lansing, MI where he began his first career as a welder at General Motors from which he retired in September of 1987.

A couple years after retiring, Henry started working as a school crossing guard at Resurrection Catholic School. He worked there for over 30 years and retired in 2024.

Henry enjoyed traveling in his mobile home, going fishing, and spending time with his family. Henry was a member of New Community Tabernacle of God in Christ, where he loved being an active member, serving in various ministries within the church.

Henry went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 13, 2024. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Luther Lock and Blanche Hudson; wife, Maggie Lock; children, Henry Glen and Jacklynn Lynn; sister, Olga Lee Cook; brother, William C.

Left to continue Henry's legacy are: his sisters, Mary Jo Baron, LaVerne Cook, and Sandra Cook; sons, Michael Lock, Richard Lock, and Danny Young; grandchildren, LaToya Brown, Michael Jordan Lock, Courtney Harris, Robert Alexander, Fran Thomas, LaToya Young and Brandy Young; great grandchildren, Amoni Brown, Jamari Brown, Kayden Harris, Kah'Mauri Harris, Mikael Lock, Michael Lock Jr., Mani Lock, Maximus Lock, Mason Lock, Adara Lock and six more great grandchildren.
