Harold "Snow" Cotton was born in Macon, Mississippi on August 26, 1949 to the late Rufus and Willie Sue Cotton.
Snow was a very generous and kind hearted. He was someone who would do anything for a person that needed help. He was also, someone who would give you his shirt off his back. Snow was a very loving father, grandfather and brother.
Snow departed this life on October 30, 2019. He was preceded in death by: his brothers, Jesse Earl, J.B. and Willie Cotton and sister-in-law, Bessie Cotton.
Harold leaves to cherish his memory: life partner, Betty Porter; four children, Ranesha Porter, Demanuel Porter, DeAndria Cotton and Harold Cotton, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren all of Lansing, MI; seven brothers, R.C. (Loretta) Cotton of St. Louis, MO, Curtis Cotton, Ricky (Marie) Cotton, Stanley Cotton, Donnie (Linda) Cotton all of Lansing, Bruce Cotton of Macon, MS, and Phinis Jones of Washington, D.C.; seven sisters, Barbara (Lonzo) Greenwood of East St. Louis, IL, Josephine (Julius) Lewis of Belleville, IL, Sandra (Walter) Greene of Virginia Beach, VA, Ruthie Farmer of Racine, WI, Deloria (Al) Triplett of Macon, MS, Marilyn Cotton of Macon, MS, and Jo Ann Collins of Cleveland, OH; uncle, Ellis Cotton of Racine, WI; two aunts, Martha P. Williams of Atlanta, GA and Callie Thompson of Birmingham, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
