Gouchong Vue
Bedard
November 9, 1990 – May 6, 2026
Gouchong Vue Bedard was born November 9, 1990 in Boulder, Colorado, the third child of five born to the loving family of Thong Yia Vue and Chua Vue. The family relocated to the Lansing, Michigan area and Chong graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2008.
She followed her aspiration to teach and to impact young lives by attending Lansing Community College and Ferris University, achieving a bachelor degree in early elementary education. She was a passionate Begindergarten teacher whose greatest joy came from caring for anyone and everyone who needed help. She believed deeply in helping young kids build confidence and happiness early in life so they could carry it into their future. Her caring nature touched countless students and families over the years.
Chong met the love of her life, Andrew, in high school, where their love story first began. They were married June 16, 2018. Together they shared a love of traveling, creating memories, and building a beautiful life together. Eventually, they were inspired to grow their family, and share that love with children they hoped and prayed they would be blessed with. After a couple years, their prayers were answered with their daughter, Kaihli, and eventually news of carrying another child, Luca, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She was truly the definition of a devoted wife and loving mother.
Those who knew Chong will remember her gentle spirit, open heart, and beautiful smile that could brighten any room. She loved making people laugh and always tried to brighten others’ days through playful pranks, glitter, and laughter. She had a way of making everyone around her feel cared for, welcomed, and loved. She brought comfort and light to the people around her and leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever.
Our cherished Gouchong Vue Bedard passed away on May 6, 2026, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Campus, in Lansing, surrounded by the enduring love of her family.
