Gene "Jean" Ellen (Rogers" Gowing, 75, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on June 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Ellen (Maxine) and step-father, Wayne Lovejoy; sister, Penny Webb; and brothers, Rick Lovejoy and Greg Rogers.

Jean leaves behind a family she loved: brother, Patrick (Murial) Lindsay of Lansing; sister, Rhonda (Dave) Shook of Holt; brother, Doug (Sally) Lovejoy of Dimondale; children, Ken (Lynda) Hall, Lisa (Carlos) Bonilla, Barbara (John) Hall, Callie Whipple; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was proud of the 18 years she spent as a bank courier. She truly enjoyed the customers and the open road. She was also proud of her accomplishments working at Target and managing Goodwill.

She had many hobbies that brought her joy, Gardening and Interior decorating among many, she made beautiful everything that she touched. She painted, wall-papered, crafted, refinished, and repaired things to give them new life! She was so very talented. She also enjoyed playing poker at her brothers house and casino trips up north. But, nothing brought her more joy than family events, this was her single greatest joy.

She had an amazing hug and joyful laugh we will all miss.
