Gabriel Bonilla, Jr., also affectionately known as Disco Gabe , B.O.S.S. , What you say , What you say , and Snap, Crackle, and Pop was born May 16, 1954 in Lansing, Michigan to Gabriel, Sr. and Carmen Bonilla. He grew up in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. He loved to listen to 1960s and 1970s music. He liked to walk, would often take the C.A.T.A. public transportation system and loved to ride in the country. He was quite the jokester. Gabriel worked in hotels and hospital kitchens as managers and dish washer. Gabriel was preceded in death by: his grandson, Luis Rutillo P. Sanchez; father; brother, Jose Luis Gomez; sister, Dolores Bonilla; and nephew, Ray Reynero. Gabriel passed away February 16, 2012, after a long battle with liver disease. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Judy Bonilla, Victor Vazquez, Joni Bonilla, Crystal Cantero; mother, Carmen Bonilla; sisters, Lydia Bonilla, Helen (Jose) Escobedo, Lupe Rodriguez, and Grace (Domingo) Vallejo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
