Mr. Frederick "Fred" John Pirochta was born and raised in Owosso, to John and Alfrieda [Vogl] Pirochta, but lived most of his adult life in Lansing.

Fred was a parishioner of St. Gerard's Parish in Lansing and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Fred was an avid classic car guy and a member of the Oldsmobile Club of America.   He retired from the State of Michigan's Bureau of Automotive Regulations in 2000.

Fred prioritized family, friends, and faith and lived his life accordingly.  He was steadfast and loyal. Fred is best remembered for his dry wit and humor, love of playing cards, his ability to fix just about anything, and his willingness to help a friend or family member in need.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, John and Alfrieda [Vogl] Pirochta; and two brothers-in-law.

Frederick joined our heavenly Father on Friday, August 10, 2018, at his home in Holt, Michigan at the age of 77.  Fred is survived by: his spouse of 55 years, Marilyn; his seven children, Cindy Holmes, Lisa Revord, Todd Pirochta, Greg Pirochta, Brad Pirochta, Bethany Snow, Kimberly Owens and their spouses; twelve grandchildren; and three siblings.

Grand River Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48906 and/or at the Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2 pm at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing, Michigan 48917.
