Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Faye Helen Crittenden-Foster announces her passing. Faye was born on May 22, 1970 in Okinawa, Japan, the daughter of Thomas Murray and Tomi Panik.  Shortly after birth, the family relocated to Muskegon, Michigan where her father was originally from. She graduated from Haslett High School in 1988; she later went on to earn her Bachelor's in Accounting from Northwood University.

Faye enjoyed a variety of types of music genres ranging from pop to punk rock; her favorite being the 80s. Faye played the cornet in the Haslett High School marching band in addition to singing in the choir. One of her shining moments from her music career was singing for the Pope in Italy along with the Haslett Choir.  At a young age Faye became an avid Euchre player, rarely passing up the chance to play a quick hand. If you have ever played against Faye you know she was a fan of setting the opposing team and had many strategies to do so. Bowling was another one of Faye's pastimes. Fellow bowlers may know her better as Fayezer, a nickname you can find etched into her bowling ball. To say Faye was a University of Michigan football enthusiast would be a colossal understatement. For many years Faye's stepfather Don was a season ticket holder lending to several weekends spent in Ann Arbor cheering on the Wolverines. Faye had many passions in life, but nothing could ever rival her love for her family and friends.

On September 23, 1995 Faye married her high school sweetheart Malcolm Crittenden in Haslett, Michigan. Faye and Malcolm had two beautiful children together, Zachary and Caitlin Crittenden. A few years after Caitlin was born Malcolm lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord.

In 2006 Faye found love again. Faye and Lee were married on June 9, 2008 In Louisville, Kentucky. The couple held a ceremony in Lansing, Michigan so family and friends could celebrate their union. In 2009 Faye was blessed with her third child, Brayden Foster.

Faye had a beautiful soul and a generous heart. She cared very deeply about her children, family, and friends. She was always quick to put the needs of others' before her own. She had an infectious smile that could light up an entire room and a laugh that could turn the darkest of days around. Faye passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by Malcolm Crittenden. Faye will be lovingly remembered by her father Thomas Murray, her mother Tomi Panik and stepfather Don Panik, her husband Lee Foster, her sons Zachary Crittenden and Brayden Foster, her daughter Caitlin Crittenden, brother Ed Murray (Emily); sister, Marsha Schiessler (D) and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
