Eugenia
Parker
February 24, 1945 – July 1, 2019
Eugenia Mae Parker (Morris) was born February 24th, 1945 in Flint, MI to Virginia Morris. Genie was one of 5 children: Bobby, Randy, Ricky, Pam; she was closest to her sibling, Pam Jackson. She loved her cats and often took strays off the street; and she and her longtime companion, Coy Gray (ultimately caring for her until the end), saved them. Genie was a very spiritual woman, believed in God, Jesus and Heaven. She often studied her Bible and had highlights and notes throughout it. She often prayed for others or lifted their worries up in prayer with prayer circles.
She loved her daughter Kerri, her husband Bob, her grandchildren Hannah, Madeleine, Thomas and James Trezise and they loved her very much. We treasure the memories of the times we spent with her.
In her later years, her illnesses began to overtake her. She wrote out her wishes using The Five Wishes, which was not to be in pain or thirsty and to be cremated. In addition to her long-term terminal illness, she suffered from Marfan Syndrome. She ultimately wanted to donate her body to science so that perhaps they could give reason to why she was saddled with so much illness as she said. Ultimately though - the arrangements were not made and the end came too swiftly.
She entered Hospice on a Friday and went to Heaven on Monday July 1st, 2019, sadly before her sister, Pam, could get to her. With one last breath, she passed away peacefully. Her broken body finally freed, her spirit lifted up, saved from the endless barriers, restrictions and pain. Her very best friend Penny passed away the following week and now they are both together. My mom did not want a memorial service, so we are honoring her wishes - she will always be in our hearts and our memories. - Love, Kerri
