Mr. Essie (LC) Bell, went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2020. A loving father, mentor and friend passed peacefully in his sleep. He was born on April 28,1931 in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Essie attended Sexton High School in Lansing, Michigan, where he excelled in academics and sports.

He was a Korean War Veteran, while in the army he continued his passion for sports. After being Honorably Discharged, he was employed by General Motors, and attended Lansing Community College while working in skilled trades for 48 years retiring in 1998.

In his passing, Essie was preceded in death by: his mother, Mattie Thomas; dad, Floyd Bell; two sisters; one brother; and a grandson.

Our beloved Dad leaves to cherish his memory: son's, Richard and Derek; daughter, Terrilyn; brother, Lucious Bell, Sr.; sister, Luelle Patterson; two grandchildren, Martell and Kenya; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
