Eileen Marie Burns was born on September 2, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away on November 15,2021 in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 67.

She grew up in the Lansing area the oldest of four siblings. She will be remembered for her sweet and caring heart. She was a woman of strong faith. She was an avid MSU Sports and Detroit Tigers fan. She was passionate about adopting rescue dogs and giving them the best life they ever had. She loved arts and crafts, loved gardening with her husband, going garage-saleing with him to see what kind of bargains they could find and they always found something special. The best part of her life was the depth of compassion and emotion for her family always knowing that she loved them very dearly.

She is survived by: her loving husband, William Burns; sons, Jeremy Sprague, Joshua (Rebecca) Sprague; nine grandchildren, Olivia, Isaac, Samuel, Seth, Simon, Paige, Abigail, Atticus, and Seamus; two great grandchildren, Anais and Francis; sister, Denise (John) Schafer; brother, Scott (Karen) Kirkpatrick; sister in-law, Diane Kirkpatrick; her fur baby, Elsa Mae; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her mother, Jeanette L. Vos; brother, Ray F. Kirkpatrick; and grandson, Gabriel Sprague.
