Earnestine Williams was born February 18, 1934 in Haiti, Missouri to the late Ozella Ellis. She moved to Lansing at the tender age of 10. She graduated from Sexton High School in 1952. She fell in love and married Mr. Doss Pruitt in 1956. During this union 2 children were born Kirk Pruitt, Sr. and Tracy Pruitt-Williams. Earnestine worked for the East Lansing School District for over 20 years as a custodian. Earnestines life was symbolized by her love of serving and being a friend to the many who loved her. Earnestine gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Bard. In the later years of her life, she rededicated her life to Christ and joined the membership of St. Stephens Community Church under the teachings of Rev. Dr. Michael Murphy. Earnestine leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Kirk (Shannon) Pruitt, Sr., daughter, Tracy (Jessie) Williams both of Lansing; 8 grandchildren, Calvin, Jr., Kirk II (Dellesia), Demtriess, India, Brittany, Jorden, Sr., Isiah, and Angel; 4 great-grandchildren, Kareem, Kiell, Akira and Jorden, Jr.; 1 Uncle Rev. Robert Clady and 1 Aunt Margaret Johnson; special cousins Coretha Crawford and Irma (Dean) Snow and special nieces: Kim clady, dedra Clady, and Nadia (Terrell) Lockett and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 11, 9-12 at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 1:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home
