Obituary

Dwayne "Waynee" Curtis Brown was born on February 7, 1965 to David and Barbara Brown in Buffalo, New York. Dwayne was a family man. He loved to entertain and cook with his loved ones. He enjoyed shows like Sanford and Son and the Pawn Shops. Dwayne would always call himself everyone's dad and played that role in his nieces and nephews lives. Wayne was a mama's boy and on November 29, 2015, God called him home to be reunited with his "Mama" and other loved ones.
Dwayne was preceded in death by: his parents, Barbara and David Brown, Jr.; two sisters, Emma Pendelton and Sherrie Brown; close friends, Tommy Lee, Tim Hatchet and Melvin Taylor.
Dwayne leaves to cherish his memory: his lifetime partner, Tina Holmes; children, Natashie Brown, Donavan Taylor and Jordan Holmes; grandson, Dakari; siblings, Brenda Benn, Doris Candies, Sandra Benn, April Brown, Tabatha Brown, Kenneth Benn, and Fernando (Cindy) Brown; a host of special nieces and nephews; godson, Melvin Martel Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be held on December 6, 2015 at 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing, MI 48933.  Funeral services will be held on December 7, 2015 at 12:00pm at Eliezer Temple Church, 3637 W. Jolly Rd, Lansing, MI 48911.  Memorial and condolences may be shared at www.rileyfuneralhome.com .
