Obituary

Mrs. Dora Lee Jackson, age 101, Matriarch of the Jackson family, went home to be with her Lord and her forever husband, Arthur Jackson, Sr., on September 13, 2017.  Mrs. Jackson cared for several Detroit area families as a housekeeper for many years.  She is the adored mother of 7 children, Delores Washington, Arthur Jackson, Jr. (deceased), Rose Evans, Corrine Morgan (deceased), Theresa LaCour, Martin Jackson, and Mary Riley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and dear friends.

Mrs. Jackson will lie in repose Friday, September 22, 9:00am to 1:00pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West Saint Joseph Street, Lansing, MI; and at James H. Cole Home for Funerals, 2624 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI, from 4:30pm to 8pm, with the family receiving friends 6-8pm. The family will also receive friends Saturday, September 23, 10am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1000 Eliot Street, Detroit.  Funeral services will follow at 11am with Father Norman P. Thomas officiating. Final loving care entrusted to Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing, MI 48933.
