Diane Rae Skibba, 78, of East Lansing, Michigan, passed away on March 23, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Diane was "Dede" to those who knew her growing up in Wisconsin and "Dee" to just about anyone who she met after her years living in the Seattle area.

Dede was born on August 10, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to parents Ray and Margaret Grandkoski. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963 and worked at The First National Bank for more than 20 years before an adventure lead her to Honolulu, HI where she met her long-time partner, Rick Galasyn.  Dede then settled in Bremerton, WA to be with Rick, where she lived for 15 years. She then returned to the Midwest to be near her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, in Michigan.

Dede loved people. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and it was her outgoing personality that lead to some of her most fulfilling jobs including concierge at the Outrigger Hotel, in Honolulu, HI and caregiver for seniors through her business, A Friend in Dee, in the Puget Sound area.

Dede is survived by: her daughter, Stephanie; grandchildren, Kai and Kali Francisco of East Lansing, MI; ex-husband, Craig Skibba; her brothers, Dave (JoAnn), Gene (Deb), Gary and Dan Grandkoski; her sister, Mary (Rod) Berg; niece, Kate Rolfs; nephew, Alex Rolfs; as well as many more nephews and nieces near and far, dear friends; and, of course, her beloved dog, Bella.
