Derrec David Watts was born March 10, 1979 in Lansing, Michigan. He was one of two children born to Suzanne and George Watts. Derrec was a loving, generous, and wonderful son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.

At an early age Derrec accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Mount Hope Assembly of God Church for over 30 years.

Some of Derrec's hobbies included music, karate, gaming, and kinesiology. He received an Associate's Degree in Kinesiology at Lansing Community College. Derrec had a very forgiving kind heart, a true, "servant's heart." He would do anything for anyone. He really cared about people and animals. It wasn't unusual for Derrec to come home with a stray cat, dog, or person, he was very generous.

Our beloved Derrec passed away November 20, 2022. Things will never be the same without him. He was preceded in death by: father, George Watts; grandparents, William and Geneva Cullers; and aunt, Cosette Cullers.

He leaves behind to cherish many memories: mother, Suzanne Cullers Watts; brother, George William Watts, II; niece, Ashley Watts; aunts, Marlene (Ronald) Robinson, Grace Cullers; uncle, William Cullers, III; and numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.
