Dennis William Churchill was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on August 23, 1944. He was the former President and owner of Yunker Memorials in Lansing; Past President of the Michigan Monument Builders of North America Association; designed and erected one of the first Multi-Conflict Veteran's Monuments standing on Lansing's Capital lawn. Dennis was also Past District Gov. and President of the Downtown Lansing Kiwanis Club; a donor to MSU's President's Club, Kresge Art Museum, Wharton Center and a huge Spartan fan - Go Green! Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rita Churchill, sons-in-law, Marc Bedy, Ken LePage, sister in-law Diane Churchill and brother-in-law, James Scheidt. Dennis William Churchill passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, after many years of diabetes and complications associated with this disease, in the presence of his family. Dennis and his wife Sally (Scheidt) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January, and she survives him along with their three children: Catherine Bedy, Christina (Robert) Wyrick, and Jared Churchill; and 12 grandchildren: Jeff, Naser, Jordanne, Ryan, Alicia, Abigail, Lilian, Jonathan, Isabelle, Josianne, and Dennis M. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, November 10, 10am, at St. Mary Cathedral,219 Seymour Ave., Lansing, MI 48933 with Rev. Msgr. Bernard Reilly, officiating.
