Demetria Kim Lawrence, "MEACH", was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 22, 1965 to the union of Jack E. and Delilah Lawrence.  Demetria transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.  She accepted Christ at an early age.

MEACH was a 1983 graduate of J.W. Sexton High School.  She possessed an impressive inborn ability and strong passion to create beauty both inside and out and became a certified Cosmetologist in 1984 with a clientele that reached far beyond the boundaries of Lansing.  She was known to get you in and of her chair and still leave you time to pick up lunch before returning to work.

MEACH began her courageous fight against Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Fibromyalgia at the young age of 19.  She remained independent until her health declined.  She never complained and was always so humble and graciously thankful for everything anyone ever did for her.

MEACH was preceded in death by her father Jack E. Lawrence; and son, Baby Curt D. Reed, Jr.  She leaves to celebrate her legacy of love; her loving and devoted mother, Delilah Lawrence; 1 Sister and BFF, Felicia A. Lawrence; 2 devoted cousins, Shirley (Curtis) Smith, Sr. and Sharon Lawrence-Taylor all of Lansing;

1 Aunt, Gloria Virgil, Debra Purcell (Cousin) and Retha Hardimon (Friend) all of Raeford, NC; Ms. Jimmie Jones (Friend) of Spartanburg, NC; Special friends:

Mr. Scott Reed, Ms. Jackie Burton, Deacon Tom and Sharon Marshall, and Mrs. RaSharon Thomas all of Lansing; Ms. Chevelle Freeman of Dallas Texas; 5 beautiful God Children; and a host of relatives and friends.

Ms. Lawrence will lie in repose Sunday, March 25, 1 - 4pm, at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018, 11am, at Friendship House of Prayer, 4301 S. Waverly Rd, Lansing, MI 48911, with Rev.
