After battling Lung Cancer, amongst other illnesses, Delores [Dee] Wisner passed away, at the age of 62, on June 12, 2018 at Sparrow Hospice, Lansing, MI.

Dee is survived by: her daughter, Jennifer (Charlie) Thompson-Orsua; son, Joseph (Monique) Nelson; 4 cherished grandchildren, Jasmine, Brianna, Isabella and Caleb; 4 sisters, Carol Goins, Sarah (Ed) Brown, Cathy (Dave) Bartholomew, and Patti Ward; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends.

She was born in Lansing, MI on September 28, 1955 to Joseph O. and Zola M. (St. John) Nelson.  She graduated from Haslett High School in 1973 where she was active in softball, basketball, and choir.  Haslett was always a special place for her.  She worked at numerous places, last of which was Sparrow Hospital as a lab technician.

She loved to spend time with her family, especially her adored grandchildren, and her loving friends.  She was a very giving and thoughtful person.  She enjoyed baking delicious treats and making the holidays festive and special for those she loved.

Dee is preceded in death by: her parents, daughter, Jamie N.; and brother, William O. Nelson.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, August 3rd at 5:00 p.m. at Lake Lansing Park South, Lakeview Shelter, at 1621 Pike Street, Haslett MI.  Meat will be provided, please feel free to bring a side dish or dessert to share.  Parking will cost $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents.
