Delbert Leroy Cook Jr. was born May 16, 1959 in Lansing, MI to Delbert L. Cook and Roberta [Dell] Gadaleto.

Del was employed at Craig's Auto Shop. All his life, he hung out with the guys at the shop. Del learned and found his love of cars through the shop. He later went on and opened his own auto repair shop. After he closed his shop, he went on and worked for other companies as well. He loved to do side jobs like painting and restoring cars.  His other passions were camping, swimming with the grandkids and long bike rides that always ended at QD for ice cream.

Del was the go-to guy if anyone ever needed anything done, he would be there with his tools. He had many friends who loved and respected him and their friendship.

Delbert Leroy Cook Jr., age 59, passed away November 24, 2018. Delbert was preceded in death by: his mother, Roberta Gadaleto; father, Delbert Cook; his grandson, Marcus May-Cook; stepfather, Bert Gadeleto.

Del is survived by: his wife, Linda Cook; two daughters, Mindy Cook {grandchildren, MaKyla and Marrion} and Dawn Cook {grandchildren, Markiuce, Kayleigh, Kaedon, and Amira}; step children, Jessica Marcolini {grandchildren Lela, Gabe} and Chris (Jessica Phillips-Marcolini) Marcolini; his siblings, Iva [Cook] Wilson, Roland Cook, Sheila (Brian) Reid, Micheal (Lori) Cook, and Laurie Cook; step mom, Vera Cook; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Del will be missed dearly. He fought a hard and long battle of cancer. Memorial contribution may be made to the Sparrow Herbert Herman cancer center.
