Debra Ann Verser was born August 7, 1954 in Lansing, Michigan. She was the oldest of eight children, born to Helen Blackman and Robert Ryan. She confessed in Christ at Mount Zion in Lansing, Michigan. She was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, and sister that loved to dance and listen to music. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Helen Blackman; father, Robert Ryan; sister, Sabrina Blackman; brother, Joe Blackman, Jr.; and nephew, Christopher Blackman. Our beloved Debra Ann Verser passed away November 29, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Tosha Verser and Tonya (Jaques, Jr.) Warren; eight grandchildren, Crystal Jackson, Ieasha Dixson, Latasha Scott, Rodney Scott, Jr., Deric Martin, Jr., Devonay Verser, Moneesha Lyle, and Jaques Warren, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Faith Bradshaw, Taaliyah Davis, Amiyah Martin, Deric Martin, and James Ray, Jr.; six sisters, Darlene, Carolyn, Holly, Lisa, and April Blackman, Susie Love, and Bertha Cager; brother, Anthony Blackman; special life-long friends, Wyvone Verser, Sr., Carolyn McCloud, and Linda Fae; special cousins, Beverly, Melody, Mia, and Matthew Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Verser will lie in repose Thursday, December 4, 12-7pm at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 West St. Joseph Street, Lansing, MI 48933. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 12pm at the Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 433 South Magnolia Avenue, Lansing, MI 48912.
