David Keith Mills was born on November 30, 1949 in Stockbridge, Michigan to Max and Verna Mills. He was raised in Stockbridge but later moved to Lansing, Michigan where he became a long-time resident.  He enjoyed family gatherings and was always available to help his mother with home and grounds upkeep after his father's death in 1987.  He was a graduate of Stockbridge High School and attended Western Michigan Univ. for two years.

David died in his apartment sometime Tuesday or Wednesday of last week.  He was 68 years of age, and although he had struggled with mental health issues much of his adult life, he had always managed to live independently.

David is proceeded in death by: his parents, Max and Verna, and brother, Jon.

He is survived by: sister, Toni Perricone of Kalamazoo; three brothers, Ron (Joyce) Mills of Conway, AR, Ted (Maggie) Mills of Roanoke, VA, and Tom (Linda) Mills of Stockbridge, MI.

A graveside service will be planned for his cremation internment at Oaklawn Cemetery, 360 S. Williams Street Stockbridge, MI 49285, at a later date.
