Darryl Heyward Henry was born July 5, 1954 to the union of Wilfred and Florence Henry. Darryl graduated from Chicago Vocational High School, in 1972. After graduating, he started working for the Internal Revenue Service. Darryl was relocated to Virginia by the I. R. S. Later, he moved to Maryland. He retired from the IRS in 1997. In 2009, Darryl moved, along with his pet dogs, Sage and Janell, to Lansing, Michigan, to be near his family. Darryl was preceded in death by: his parents, Wilfred and Florence Henry; brother, Wilfred Henry; and sister, Ethyl Connor. Darryl went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory: his sisters, Toni, Francine and Iris Henry, all of Lansing; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including dear friends, Marcus Conway and Deborah Eatmon. Friends will be able to visit Mr. Henry on July 22, 2012 Sunday 3:30-7:00 pm and Monday July 23, 2012 from 9am to 9pm at Riley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 1:30pm at Riley Funeral Home. Family hour 30 minutes prior to service.
