Ms. Crystal Conrad, closely known as "Cris," was born and raised in Lansing, MI as the oldest of three daughter's. She grew up as cute as a button, catching frog's and twirling pistol's in her chap's and cowboy boot's. She soon attended Lansing school's where she traded in her darling recital tutu's for a racing speedo and a swim cap. Her butterfly stroke was so beautiful that she acquired state champion status and broke record's. She graduated in 1972 from Everett High School also earning her cosmetology license upon graduation.
Crystal attended college for photography while lifeguarding and teaching swim lesson's and eventually graduated with honor's from L.C.C. earning an associate's degree in medical billing.
In her twenties, Crystal worked for M.E.S.S.A. until she gave birth to her only daughter, Tina, every moment an amazing, attentive, loving, powerful role model. Filling the shoes of both mom and dad, all with such strength and love, absolutely beyond measure.
Crystal truly enjoyed her time spent with friend's and family over the year's. Eventually gaining four cherished grandson's whom she would stop time for and who consider her much more like a second mom. Ultimately she also achieved two great grandson's who she adored immensely, relishing every moment.
Her presence was so great, in so many way's that her leaving this planet was positively earth shattering. We will have to find our way around without her to reach out to directly but she is everywhere now and she is free. She will always be listening and guiding us, we just have to listen very closely.
Crystal is preceded in death by: her parents, Venessa and Robert Conrad.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Christina Alexander-Crumley; grandsons, Elliott (Trinity), Fisher, Conrad and Marshall Crumley;
great grandsons, Malakai and Olliver; lifelong best friend, Rachelle Collier; and many other loved friends and relatives.
Special thanks to Hospice House of Lansing for their caring support during this difficult time.
just AS time knew to move on since the beginning,
and the seasons know exactly when to change,
just AS kindness knows no shame,
know through all your joy and pain,
that I'll be loving you always.
