Connie J. Gwilt was born to Edward and Iva Gwilt on April 7, 1948 in Cheboygan, Michigan.

She loved to care for people that had a need. Everyone that Connie met was her friend, and family was the most important thing to her. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone. Connie was a proud member of the Sault St. Marie Chippewa Tribe, and she worked for the State of Michigan for many years.

Connie passed away at McLaren Hospital on December 5, 2021 surrounded by family.

Connie was preceded in death by: her parents, Edward and Iva Gwilt; her brother, Butch Gwilt; and grandson, Jeremy Horner.

Connie leaves behind: children, Pat (Jane) Horner, Guy Scott Horner, Lisa Hoyt; honorary son, Glenn E. Hoyt; grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Loomis, Glenn J. Hoyt (a.k.a. Bubba), Tiffany Horner, Cheyenne Horner, Matthew (Dicia) Horner, Christopher Horner; sister, Dixie Barnes; ten great grandchildren; and one niece.
