Mr. Brown, age 92, was born June 9, 1920 in Thomasville, GA to Robert and Alice Morris Brown. He transitioned to be with the Lord on May 24, 2013. He retired as a chef and was a member of Trinity A.M.E Church. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by: his parents and granddaughter, Samantha Johnson. Survivors include: his daughter, Yvonne (Curtis) Major; grandchildren, Deondra (Dewayne) Curtis, Shannon Curtis, and Claudia (Daveari) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jaquesha Curtis, Zahira Washington, Jamarria Curtis, John Palmer, DeQuan Mitts, Yasmine Washington, and Ahkeim Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Semaj Christian, Tristan Mitts and Zariah Clark; special son-in-law, Frank Curtis X; nephews, Rogers Henderson, Jr., Steven (Cynthia) Davis, and Reggie Snell of Amityville, NY; special friend, Julia Walker of Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a great man, devoted to his family and friends, and will truly be missed. The family of Clyde Brown would like to thank Sparrows Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Mr. Brown will lie in repose on Thursday, May 30, 3 - 6 pm, at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing, MI 48933. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 1:00 pm at Trinity AME Church, 3500 W. Holmes Rd., Lansing, MI 48911. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral.
