Obituary

Clarence Brown, Sr. was born on August 28, 1925 in Steele, Missouri to Henrietta Mason.

Clarence served in the United States Navy during WWII. After being honorably discharged he moved to Michigan and married Norma Gean Hunt. They were happily married until her passing in February of 1985. To this union seven children were born. Clarence retired from Motor Wheel in 1987. He enjoyed going to Fitness USA religiously until their closing. He enjoyed smoking his pipe. Clarence loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with two special nephews, Joe Barkely and Anthony Rodgers. He loved football, playing Michigan lottery, watching western movies, and listening to BeBe King.

Clarence was preceded in death by: his wife, Norma Gean Hunt; daughters, Reba Sue and Kay Eileen; son-in-law, Ernest Butler; two sisters, Helen Alexander and Charlsie Parker; two brothers, Albert Alexander and Freddie Lee Hayes.

Clarence was the matriarch of the Mason family and leaves to cherish his memories: five children, Cheryl Brown, Sabrina Brown Hunt, Teresa (Edwin) Burtley, Clarence (Saundra) Brown and Darren Brown; sister, Rosetta Draper (Charles) Armistead of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Alec Washington of San Diego, California; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
