Obituary

Charmaine "Char" Truman was born on Wednesday, March 12, 1975 in Jackson, Michigan. She was the first-born child in a loving marriage between the late Sadock Truman, Sr. and DeVera Hayes. On Monday, November 11, 2019, Charmaine departed this life and went on to be with the Lord.

In 1993, Char graduated from Jackson High School as both valedictorian and class president. Charmaine went on to graduate from Ferris State University with an Associate's degree in Business.

Char accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. At the age of 12, Charmaine won a contest for accurately quoting 100 bible scriptures in a row. For most of her life, she attended Faith Temple Church Of God In Christ, under the leadership of her great uncle, Pastor John Walker, until moving to Lansing, Michigan. Once she relocated to Lansing, she joined Lansing Church Of God In Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Duncan, Jr. She loved the Lord and was always witnessing to whoever would listen.

Charmaine with a bright smile, could light up any room she entered. She was generously kindhearted and would do anything for a person that needed her help. She really would have given you the shirt off of her back. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin. Charmaine loved people and people loved Charmaine.

Charmaine was preceded in death by: father, Sadock Truman, Sr.; grandfathers, Eddie Lee Truman and J.C. Meeks; grandmothers, Rudell Woolfolk and Francis Truman; aunts, Nora Ann Truman, Valerie Meeks, and Tuesda (Larry) Caston; and her uncle, Wayne Truman.
