Born March 19, 1949, Cathy was called home by a merciful God on February 20, 2013 at age 63. Cathy graduated from J. W. Sexton High School in 1967. She worked 32 years for the State of Michigan and retired in 2002. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Theon Rogers and Lula Mae Rogers. Survivors include: her twin daughters, Meko and Mishon Moore; son, Jhamarr Rogers; grandchildren, Kentrell Lane, Mekyla Truman, Amarah Rogers, and Alyse Rogers; brother, Anthony Rogers, Sr.; second-mother, Rosie Rivers, god-son, Mark Swanson of Washington, D.C.; ex-husband, Kenrick Moore of Lansing, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and scores of friends. Visitors may pay respects Monday, February 25, 9 am - 9 pm at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 11 am, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5200 Pleasant Grove Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
