Obituary

Cathy Antoinette McCollum was delivered from the Lord and into the hands of Claude and Helen McCollum on March 29, 1956 in Albion, Michigan.
She became a resident of Lansing, Michigan in 1969 and graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1974.
She returned home to the Lord on April 25, 2016.  She was preceded in death by: her parents, Claude and Helen McCollum; brothers, Claude McCollum Jr. and Ibrahim Abdus Samad, formally known as Maurice McCollum; sister, Nancy K. McCollum.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sharon Neverls, Carol and Genise McCollum all of Lansing; uncle, Randy Gelispie; aunts, Sarah Watts and Patricia Barnett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cathy was a second mother to her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and who loved her dearly as well. She served as an aunt, caregiver, sister, confidant, listener and true friend.
Ms. Cathy Antoinette McCollum will lie in repose Monday, May 2nd, 3-6 P.M. at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West Saint Joseph Street, Lansing, Michigan.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3rd, 11:00A.M. at Tithe Missionary Baptist Church, 1415 West Holmes Road, Lansing, Michigan.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rileyfuneralhome.com .
