Carmen Villarreal Bustillos was born January 26, 1934 in Bastrop, Texas to Prisciliano and Carmen Villarreal. She was a farm worker for most of her life. Carmen met the love of her life, Jessie Bustillos, while working in the fields. She later married Jessie and they spent 45 years together. From this union eight children were born. Carmen loved being with her children and grandchildren. She loved having family gatherings. She also enjoyed cooking, music, bingo and dancing. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jessie Bustillos. Carmen went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory: her eight children, Yisidro (Leticia) Bustillos, Sr., David Bustillos, Ernesto Bustillos, Jessie, Jr., Gloria (Rudy) Gonzales, Irene Mireles, Dolores (Greg, Sr.) Medwayosh, and Rosa Linda Bustillos; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
