Obituary

Carl Leslie Clemons, affectionately known as C-Low from New York by family and friends, was born on May 30, 1955, in New York, New York. Carl graduated from the New York City public school system. Carl was employed with several New York City restaurants and retail chains up, until he relocated to Lansing, Michigan. He continued his customer service skills in the Lansing area. When you met Carl, he was sure to give you something to smile about. He would leave an everlasting impression on how life can be lived, with just only a smile. Carl was true to his Lord Jesus Christ, for he always said and lived by The Grace of God is my hope and Strength . James was preceded in death by: his granddaughter, Heaven Clemons; father, James Edward Clemons; and sister, Dolores Williams. A beautiful life came to a close when the angel of silence sealed the lips of Carl Leslie Clemons. His soul winged its flight from this world of pain and sorrow to a place of eternal rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. His memory will be cherished by: his beloved life partner, Rose Rosser and his dearly beloved mother, Johnnie Mae Clemons. He leaves behind to continue his legacy of laughter and kindness: his son, Carl Lamont (Jessica) Clemons; daughters, Brittney and Shacara Clemons; grandchildren, Kenneth, Jeremiah, and Catalya Clemons; Carl will be truly missed by his: eight brothers and sisters, Marion, Herbert (Peggy), Tony, Selvin, Cynthia, Cecelia, Olivia, and Jeanette; brother-in-law, Ronnie Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Friends may visit Mr. Clemons on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 9-12:30pm at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 1 pm at Riley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service.
