Bonnie Lynn Richie was born January 1, 1938 in Lansing, Michigan to Ernest and Alois Richie. She was the third of their daughters. Bonnie graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1956. She was a devoted family member who always strived to benefit all the members of her large and extended family. For more than 35 years, Bonnie served as a stellar employee of the United States Postal Service. Before that she worked at Auto Owners Insurance Company. Bonnies life included a love of sporting events, especially Tiger Woods golfing. Bonnie was preceded in death by: her parents, Ernest and Alois and sisters, Helen V. Ansley and Tanya T. Richie. Bonnie departed this life on January 26, 2012, at the age of 74, at Sparrow Hospital after a brief illness. She leaves to forever cherish her memory and continue her legacy: her daughter, Gabrielle C. Richie of Lansing; sisters, Joan J. Richie of Lansing and Teusi (Chui) Karega of Detroit, Michigan; nephews, Kim (Lynn) Ansley of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Rex Ansley of Pontiac, Michigan, Canuflei Karega of Detroit; nieces, Kafi (Anthony) Karega-Burris of Phoenix, Arizona, Joilynn (Jimmie) Karega-Mason of Louisville, Kentucky and Tarasai Karega of Philadelphia; Pennsylvania; numerous cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends. Her presence among us will continue to be an inspiration to her remaining friends and family. She will be missed by all that knew her.
