Age 71, was born December 27, 1941 in Summit, MS to Walter and Allie Mae Hartwell and passed away on April 15, 2013. She was the eldest of 10 children. She was preceded in death by: her sister, Mary; brothers, Louis and Walter Jr. Survivors include: son, Charles (LaTesha) Richardson, four grandsons that she cherished, Charles II Chaz , Collyn, Conner, and Carson; siblings, Curtis (Vickie) Hartwell, Ray (Beverly) Hartwell, Beverly (Bruce) Jones, Kay (Francis) Brown, Darryl Hartwell, Michael Hartwell, and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may visit Mrs. Ashley on Sunday April 21, 3 - 7 pm at the Riley Funeral Home. Celebration of Mrs. Ashleys life will be held on Monday, April 22, 12 pm at Holmes Road Church of Christ, 321 E. Holmes Road, Lansing MI. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
