Authur Louis Hall was born May 16, 1928 to Neal and Ocie Hall in Greensboro, Alabama. He left Alabama, at the age of 14, to begin his adventures of the world. Oscar moved to St. Louis, Missouri, with his family before joining the United States Navy in 1946. During this time, he became known by the enduring nickname of Oscar . Arthur married his love in 1951 and to this union five children were born. He worked at REO Motor Car Company and retired from Fisher Body, as a relief man. Oscar bowled, played Yatzee and pool, fished, and watched sports as past times, however, nothing compared to his passion for golf. Whether you called him Arthur, Oscar or Art, we loved him and he loved us. He might not have remembered your name when he saw you in public, but he knew you were a part of his fabric of his life. He truly lived his life until the end. He was a free spirited man, who did things the way he wanted. Oscar was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Donna Lynn Hall-Eikner; grandson, Timothy Shane Cash; parents; brothers, Johnny Love, Cloyd Norman, and Charlie Edward; and sister, Gladys (Hall) Green. Arthur left this life on January 17, 2012. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving companion, Helen Taylor; children, Deborh (Samson) Karanja, Sharon Johnson, Kenneth Hall and Eric (Andrea) Hall; grandchildren, Keysha Cash, Shannon (Nadine) Hall, Janell Hall, Erica Hall, Wanza Karanja, Sheala Johnson, Candace Eikner, Sherard Johnson, Reschelle Karanja, Alicia Nash, Mitchell Hall and Kelsey Hall;great-grandchildren, Malik, Kenya and Ellison Hall; siblings, Artie Hall, Lois (Joseph) Moody, Leonard (Marcella) Hall and Benjamin (Marie) Hall; and a host of other family and friends.
